Therapy Rates & Insurance
Investing In Private Pay Therapy
Grow & Thrive Therapy is an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. Working outside of insurance allows me greater flexibility to focus therapy on your child's or teen's individual needs and goals, rather than limiting treatment based on insurance requirements.
I believe you should know exactly what to expect when it comes to the cost of therapy. That's why I provide straightforward, transparent rates so you can make an informed decision about child therapy and teen therapy in Burnsville, MN.
Therapy Rates
Initial Intake
$190
A one-hour initial session to gather information, learn more about your child or teen and their current concerns, explore symptoms, establish diagnostic impressions, and create treatment goals and a personalized plan for therapy.
Individual Sessions
$155
one-hour individual therapy session tailored to each child or teen’s unique needs and goals. Sessions provide evidence-based support while giving children and teens the opportunity to practice and apply the skills we’re working on together.
Family & Parent Therapy
$155
Family & Parent Therapy provides support for strengthening communication, connection, and understanding at home. Family therapy brings parents and children together to work through challenges, while parent therapy focuses on coaching, skill-building, and practical strategies to better support your child.
Payment & Scheduling Information
Payment is due at the time of each session. Grow & Thrive Therapy accepts check, credit or debit card, HSA, and FSA payments.
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged the full session fee.
Rates are subject to change and may increase modestly over time. Current clients will receive at least 90 days' notice of any rate increase.
Can I Use My HSA or FSA?
Yes. Payment for therapy services can be made using an HSA or FSA, when permitted by your plan.
Because Grow & Thrive Therapy is an out-of-network provider, you may also have the option to submit your therapy receipts to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand your benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and any requirements for submitting claims.
I’m happy to provide the documentation you need to submit to your insurance company.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate
As an out-of-network provider, I am required to provide clients who do not use insurance with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining the expected cost of services. You will receive your estimate in writing at least one business day before your first appointment, and you may request one before scheduling services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the expected cost of non-emergency services. If your final bill is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Be sure to keep a copy of your estimate for your records.
